Is Your Name Susie?

My birthday is this month...and I would like to give away "THE SUSIE BOOK".  It was given to me many years ago by a dear friend, and I think it's time to 'pay it forward'!   It is the cutest little book with great graphics, dated 1911....By the way, in case you don't know me...my name is Susie, and I love to give presents on my birthday!

Anyway, if you are named Susie, or know of someone named Susie, I would love to give this book  as my  "birthday'  gift!  Simply leave a comment letting me know why you, or your Susie, would love this cute little book.  I'll be making a decision and posting the recipient on the 23rd!

I haven't had too much trouble with the Golden Raintrees coming up in my yard. I do have trouble with the Mexican Caesalpenia seeds sprouting in my flowerbeds though.

  3. Hi Susie!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I appologize if this was your first visit. I am usually not so straight forward for all the world to see!!! I do however feel better that I got the complaints out in the open and off of my chest. LOL!!

I would have complained to management today but I am certain that one of the afore mentioned lovelies was infact the manager!!! I did however copy and forward my "blog complaint" on via their website. I hope it works for other innocent shoppers in the future!!!!

I love your blog. I love your white furniture and your style!!!! I can't wait for more!!!!

The book is soooooo cute! I don't really know anyone named Susie except for you!!!! Happy Birthday!!!!!!!

    Please stop back by my blog. I promise to be nice ;0}

  5. My name is Pat not Susie, but I love your little book. So glad Dawn introduced me to your blog. Want to wish you a Happy Birthday. Giving on your birthday is a fun thing to do, I once sent my mother and dad a rose in a vase on my birthday and thanked them for having me. It made a big impression on them. Most people don't think to give on their birthday, they usually want a gift. You must be a special person.
    Have a great birthday month!!!
    Smiles,
    Pat

  11. Happy Early Birthday! My birthday is on the 17th, do you have any big plans? Eat lots and lots of cake on your b-day, I have it on good authority that calories don't count on the actual day. ;-)
    Have a wonderful week!

  15. Hi Susie, So glad I found your blog (via Dawn of The Feathered Nest). I've had such a wonderful time going back, in your blog, to see what I've been missing. Love old things and your grandson is just adorable. My name is Nancy (not Susie) and my granddaughter's name is Olivia (not Susie) but...Olivia has a baby doll named Susie. When Olivia was born everyone gave her all the Olivia the Pig books. I know she would love to have a book named after her baby doll Susie. She holds this doll while she sucks her thumb (wish we could break her of the habit, as she's now 6) and the first doll got so bad, she now has Susie 2. Anyway, love your blog and love the vintage book. The pictures are so cute. Have a great day and I'll be back soon.

I have a dear friend named Susie. I've known her since we were both very young. She's had a rough time recently with health issues.

She and her husband are now the Pastors of my church. I would love to be able to present my Pastor Susie with the Susie Book.

Thanks for considering my request. Now I'm off to see more of your blog. From what I've seen so far it is beautiful.

    Blessings,
