Nature Behind Glass

I was just messing around in my studio today to get some stuff ready to take to the antique shop where I rent a small shelf.  I seldom start with a plan as.....I seem to do my best work when I'm spontaneous.

I've had this glass display case for a while with no inspiration and even tried to 'rust' the metal (it didn't work).  I actually now like the juxtaposition of the natural, rustic elements and the glass and metal.

"Nest" woven from Black Eyed Susan vine, assorted mosses, quail eggs, hornet's nests, tallow berries, a vintage clay pot, feathers and a few branches.....nature's bounty!

I'll be taking it to the shop tomorrow...

Thanks for stopping by, and I would love to hear from you.

Blessings,
Susie

Sometimes Inspiration Takes A While

Found this at the thrift store......my husband thought I had lost my mind.
Just had to wait for a vision....

6 months later:

Contents:
Vintage galvanized basin
Potted amaryllis bulb and violas
Stack of vintage greenhouse pots

Oh, I love it, but....
I sold it!
Oh well.....next

A New Puppy In The House

Her name is Rebecca.  We'll call her 'Becca'!
We adopted her yesterday for our 'forever' dog.
She's 9 weeks old and most likely a combination of lab and boxer...a real sweetie.

Oophs....this post was just literally interrupted.....she pooped.  Oh well, here we go!

Introducing....Becca

She's a little shy..

Have a wonderful week...
I'll be catching up on my dog training skills.

Oh, and yes....she slept in our bed last night!

Blessings,
Susie
