The studio is just off of the dining room with french doors as the entrance. I had planned to paint the doors white, but that's not going to happen since we will be moving in several months. I also wanted to repaint the room.. When we moved here almost two years ago, I had a little 'color attack' and thought it would be fun to paint out the room this bright green. Loved it then....now....not so much!
I just put this shelf up, but the paint needs to be doctored up a bit. I really don't like to repaint antiques, but it was baby blue! Like my clock faces? I have to confess, they are photocopies...just needed something quick to fill the shelves!
I'm also over the sheers and grapevine, but I probably won't take 'em down til we start packing...I'm getting a little depressed at that thought....
My desk/work table is just an old picnic table someone was thowing away. It's sound and sturdy!
I have a great view of the garden from the window.
Turning the corner to the back wall..
Antique fence section 'holds everything'
Old shoe factory basket (lots of stuff stashed in here)
Oops..my unfinished rug hooking project! Oh well, I like to look at it!
"The Cupboard"...I'm always changing around the shelves...
'Sure holds a lot of stuff'
The door leads to our side yard...I have to confess, most of the time, I can hardly get to the door because too much stuff is in the way. I'm going to keep it clear from now on!
These are great old shutters...I've had them for a long, long time. Sure hope I have the perfect place for them again when we move...
I'm now about to do something never attempted before......show the inside of this cupboard...
Ta Da....Not too bad! The photo boxes were also that bright green, but with the help of my adhesive spray and some cute birdhouse themed wrapping paper...I fixed them up. I also made labels with my Cricut machine (my newest favorite toy!)
So this concludes the tour....thanks for letting me share this part of me!
I'm on my way now to link up with Kathleen at Faded Charm for White Wednesday. CYA there!
Blessings,
Susie

I'm so glad you decided to share your creative space! It's just wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI don't envy you moving again though, I've done that one too many times, and I'm getting ready to do it again, ugh!
Hi Susie! I love your space and so glad you showed it. Let's see, my favorites are the table the cabinet the old fencing, I like it all!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day
WOW!!! Love this space...creative, inspiring and you gotta move it all??!!?? I know wherever you end up, the new place will feel like home in no time. One thing I have noticed about my favorite bloggers...they can make a cardboard box feel homey! Re: green walls...I did the same in my "studio"...only blue...do not like it now, but the thought of moving mountains to repaint is scaring me off!! :O} Happy Wednesday *elaine*
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you have decided to join in the fun. I love your space. Very white, chippy and fun:) What's not to love:)

I'm so glad you showed us all these wonderful photos. Your space is just dreamy to me and I knew it would be. I love your view out the window from your desk. I'm afraid I'd get sidetracked if i had that view.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it feel good to have it all cleaned up. My room is no longer studio/storage room so I'm really hoping it won't get so cluttered anymore.
Thanks for sharing with us today. I love it!
