I found several of these vintage boxes many years ago, and have used them in many different ways. Most recently, I had made small gifts for a group of friends and needed a creative way to wrap them....So, I carefully took one of the boxes apart and photocopied it onto card stock paper, cut them out, and had the cutest packaging! Unfortunately, my pictures don't do the graphics justice..
I love these little 3" vintage stockings!
A collection of small vintage toys. The red bell is heavy metal with perfectly aged and distressed original red paint. The dice is made of celluloid.

I am going to be selling the box, stockings and toys in my Etsy shop.

Great idea for the box ... my in-laws have a box they give my husband every year {for the past 40!!} it is so torn and tattered maybe I'll snatch it this year and use your idea ... then our son can have his very own box like Daddy's!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteThe old toys have vintage written all over them.

ReplyDeleteI love all your vintage treasures. The baby socks are precious!! The tinsel story reminds me of how we uses to grab handfuls to put on the tree~it turned out really bad!! My Mom would go back and separate some of it!! And the boxes look familiar!!

I remember how heavy that old tinsel used to be, I used to love squishing it together..hehehe. I think the Santa is cute, he has a very detailed look about him.
