My latest Craigslist find.....pretty cool, but I'm completely stumped as to how to use them! I suppose the best thing would be to separate the benches from the doors. What do you think?
I'm linking up with Faded Charm for White Wednesday.

These are pretty cool and VERY interesting! Can't wait to see what you end up doing with them : )
ReplyDeleteWell, aren't those the coolest things ever? I wonder if they were used in the old school cloak rooms? We had something similar to that in the cloak room where I went to grade school. They were put down in the winter so we could sit and put our boots and snow pants on. I'm not sure if that is what they are though.
ReplyDeleteYou know...having said that ...what came to mind is that they would be cool as "shutters" on a porch framing a door or window or something and you could pull the benches down to "sit a spell". Whatever you do with them..they are a fabulous find! Hugs- Diana
Wow, what a find! Yes I would take them apart. The possibilities are endless!!!
ReplyDeleteThe doors would make the prettiest headboard, like Maria has at Dreamy Whites. Such great patina!
ReplyDeleteI wonder why they attached them? but you are right they would be better separated. Great patina to them....you've done well with Craigs list!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Carole
I don't think I would want to separate them. Doors are an easy find but I have never seen anything like these.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, I'm not sure how exactly I would use them. They are beautiful.
Great find! I'm sure you are going to get a lot of ideas and suggestions. I can't wait to see what you do. The benches are so neat!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Amazing I have never seen anything like it!
ReplyDeleteHi Susie!
ReplyDeleteYou have totally been on my mind!! I hope you are doing well. Perusing craigslist is definitely a good sign :) :)
Love the doors......how about leaning up against a wall or something? They are fabulous! OR "totes fab" as my teenybopper daughters would say! :)

How unique! Thanks for sharing and Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteAugh! Those are so cool!!! How fun would they be - as is - on each side of a front door!!! Shutters if you will...
ReplyDeletewell - shutters with seats. Uhmm....

OK, those ROCK!!!!! I LOVE those! Happy White Wednesday - Tanya
ReplyDeleteYou always find the coolest stuff! I've been on the lookout for benches and can't find anything. These are cool and the doors also.
ReplyDeleteTake care and enjoy your new finds.
Kathleen
Those are pretty unique...just the way they are! I'd try to find a way to use them like that.
ReplyDeleteRene
Either separated or put to use just as they are...I love them! Very cool find! :)
ReplyDeleteWell those 2 little babies are plum cute!!! Lucky find! I don't know how you could bare to separate them, but the time just might have come for that. They are special that's for sure. Vicki
ReplyDeleteGreat finds, Susie! I love both the doors and the benches, but definitely separate them. They both have great patina and great lines!
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday!

Just finding your blog today and poking around. Wondering what you've done with these. Very cool find. Someone was very clever to create these. Makes me wonder if there was a table that folded down from the cabinet the doors were on.
ReplyDeleteDo you do shows? (like I said I'm new here) These would make the coolest display pieces!
Susanne.
