A couple of years ago, Ballard Designs featured a chandelier which was fashioned from an antique cloche from France. For me, it was love at first sight; however, we had just moved into our home and a new light fixture was low on the list of things we needed. Periodically, I would visit the Ballard website to visit the chandelier. It sold out very quickly, and they were never to stock it again.
When we learned that we were going to be able to stay in our home, one of the things I immediatelty wanted to do was replace the ugly 'old school' glass cover light above my dining table. Well, I just happened to be messing around on Ebay, and guess what I found? Yep....it was new in the box and much less that the original price. So.....ta da...here it is!
The finish has a crackled effect and the glass is 'seeded". I am very pleased....it looks antique!
I'm linking up with Faded Charm for White Wednesday. Head on over for more wonderful whites!

That is a great room with lots of character. Love the table.
ReplyDeleteSusie,
ReplyDeleteI love the light fixture. It really does look old. Ballard rocks! I keep their catalogs by my bed for inspiration. They do have good sales if you go to their 'estate sale' tab. Also, I have picked up some amazing stuff on the Anthropologie online sales.
It's been awhile since I shopped your etsy, I'm about to go see what treasures you have. (I'm still hoarding my little marble letters that I bought last year). Can't believe I missed out on the butterfly's.
