Thanks to everyone who has offered strength and encourgement as I deal with Ovarian Cancer. I'm in the hospital for my second round of chemo. I got really sick after my first round, and ended up back in the hospital for 4 days. This time, I will have a home care nurse checking up on me and make sure I stay hydrated.
This is definitely putting a damper on my holiday plans, but I'm just going to do things a little 'smaller' this year.....there'll be plenty more to go all out!
In the meantime, I have my lap top with me and am totally enjoying everyone's plans for the holidays unfold.
Be Blessed....I AM!
Susie
Oh Susie, this cancer thing has attached itself to so many I love. I'm praying with you my friend that you will be strong and getting better. Take it easy during the holidays, you deserve it!! Praying one day there will be a cure.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfect Christmas to sit back and relax without all the stress. Praying this round goes better than the first and this will all be over soon my friend.
ReplyDeleteSending you a big hug,
Kathleen
Stay strong Susie! Enjoy this holiday season taking it easy and just soaking it all in! I hope things go better this time....I'm glad to hear you have a nurse who will checking in on you! Sending hugs and well wishes!!! Thank goodness for books and laptops huh?
ReplyDeleteTake care,

I love that you are a strong woman...and I love that you feel blessed in spite of the cancer. You know that you are MORE than cancer...and it sucks your life out in so many ways. I believe there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Just try to think ahead to being well and strong for Christmas NEXT year. I'll say a little prayer for you as you endure this round of chemo. God bless you, my dear! If you feel like reading at all I think my blog today will give you a little smile (if you like stories about kids) Hugs- Diana

Also my name is Suzann (Sue for short) AND I just turned the big 55 this past September. So there are 3 things we have in common!!
Please if you need something just email me....REALLY.
I wish you well in this bout of chemo, my mother just finished chemo a year ago and she is clear of cancer!
I will be thinking of you and wishing you good things for you.

Susie,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you are having such a difficult time. I know it is hard to just sit and heal when you are accustomed to being active but you must. There are many more Holidays to look forward to, so just take it easy, be good to yourself and stay hydrated.
Now would be a good time to catch up on all that reading you always meant to do. ; )
